The tide is changing, the moon it grows In search of reason, but it never showed For it lives in silence and idleness Buried in the masses of the powerless Among lost rebels, I'm on the run Away from facing the western sun But from the distance I saw it coming Now I'm the victor who's left with nothing Is this a hoax Are we a fable for the common folk And time tells me To run from the conventions in history Ignore the words that we are told 'Cause nothing matters when the story's getting old But will we fall to prove it all Are we distorted with every word Radicals or sheep following the herd The defining moments are swiftly coming Will we be the victor who's left with nothing Is this a hoax Are we just soldiers dying off the coast And time tells me To run from recurring themes in history Ignore the words that we are told 'Cause nothing matters when the story's getting old But will we fall to prove it all The strength is lost It died for an unknown cause Far from home, on strange lands To feed empire's demands What if we fought For something we thought Was real to us Like compassion and trust Is this a hoax Are we a fable in the books they wrote Concerning agony Over who we are and where we wanna be Ignore the words that we are told 'Cause nothing matters when the story's getting old But will we fall to prove it all

Eyes looking up Filled with visions of Monuments falling And revolution calling Periphery and metropole industry Colliding head on Underground inspiration Is lifting through the nation And it keeps your little fingers waiting To destroy a generation Faced with annihilation And at last I hear the sirens wailing Incessant knocks In tune with ticking clocks One last man at the top Silent as he walks You're dead inside How will you sleep at night When everybody's gone? 'Cause you distort situations On every TV station And eclipse the will of millions living In surplus populations Their running out of patience And their wounds are bleeding on your hands What's the use in following the rules When the devil makes an offer of love renewed And the chance to run Into unknown fields of gold Been here before And still I'm not so sure What's going on Now I'm waiting at the station For the chance of liberation But the train ain't coming And I am tired Of the same sick feeling Can it be that I'm dreaming? And that nothing will ever mean a thing?

Exhausted, losing grip Hostilities invading my ship The damage is all done Now jump in and swim from The mistrust that guides us The worst parts of what we love Conception returning Of nature I am learning But wait, it's gone away And now everyone's the fucking same But we retire in our own way To work 'til our hands bleed It's labour to fulfill another's greed Weep until my eyes dry Over thoughts consumed by The mistrust that guides us It's the worst part of all love Perception returning Of beauty I am learning But wait, it's gone away And now everyone's the fucking same But we recede in our own way Impersonalities surround me each day So anxious and afraid Of the chances left to take But wait, it's gone away And now everyone's the fucking same But we fall in our own way Away, you've gone away And now everyone's a fucking slave But I'll see you again someday

Incisions 04:54
Apathy turned Into friction Are we ever Carried by the winds of change Dressed in colours We passed each other Never wanting to know This ain't your fault It's how we rely on time To resuscitate the good In our poisoned minds Soon we'll all be Gone to relieve this place And bring back the innocence That our tainted lives erased The paths we take The roads we paved The mark we made Forgotten in the waves of change How does it feel To belong here I guess I'll never know 'Cause I'm just too cynical This ain't your fault It's how we rely on time To resuscitate the good In our poisoned minds Soon we'll all be Gone to relieve this place And bring back the innocence That our tainted lives erased All the words and numbers Incised upon our wonders Purposes unclear When do they all disappear This ain't your fault It's how we rely on time To resuscitate the good In our poisoned minds Soon we'll all be Gone to relieve this place And bring back the innocence That our tainted lives erased

In the dead of night, we're all alone No civil rights, no place to call our own Cannibals feed on us While the gears of their machines slowly rust A prototype of the blamed A voodoo child, faceless and unnamed My Third World grows, my value lies In your home, where you don't have to hear our cries Because you always run away Back and forth across the slate But simple minds are hard to change When nobody takes the blame Capital takes flight And the days go by And before we know it we're left to die But I don't care what you think you need I don't want no more tears for my family You bought it, you sold it But you'll never own it 'Cause this planet's not your commodity And this you'll never see Because you always run away Back and forth across the slate But simple minds are hard to change When nobody takes the blame There were days when life was something More than just a fuel for the state What have we become, for a system Doomed to failure, a lifestyle of which you're so sure Because you always run away Back and forth across the slate But simple minds are hard to change When nobody takes the blame

The sun is shining, but I'm in the shadows The zombies on these billboards swallow Our freedom with their eyes, glorious in their disguise Rituals of youth tear up our insides Now I walk these wastelands where we'll Stumble forever but never fall Past something beyond these crowds On the outside of this town And now everything I love is fading I said don't waste my time I said don't waste my time I'm getting out of here when the best things in my life are all gone Notions of discontent Are worsening with every breath I'm not alive when I'm staring at Visions of Hollywood that I don't wanna see Stuck on a pedestal of false images and dreams I'm not running, but I'm a stranger I'm calling out to you Won't you answer? I said don't waste my time I said don't waste my time I'm getting out of here when the best things in my life are all gone I'm not waiting, I'm not waiting for you Am I wasting time, are the best things in my life even true? I said don't waste my time I said don't waste my time I'm getting out of here when the best days of my life are all gone I'm not waiting, I'm not waiting for you Am I wasting time, what if the best days of my life are all through? Which side are you on?
